Urban Cowboy Ain't Off the Bull Yet

The crowd that filled the Broadhurst Theatre on the evening of Saturday, March 29, was there to cheer on the hard-working cast of Urban Cowboy on what was announced as their final Broadway performance, just days after a hopeful opening. The curtain call was emotion-filled, as the young stars of the show prepared to say goodbye to their Cowboy family members. And then everything changed. Director Lonny Price took to the stage and announced to the packed house (and shocked company) that the show wasn't closing after all, thanks to a last minute change of heart of producers Chase Mishkin and Leonard Soloway. It was a historic evening in the theater and Broadway.com was there. Here, we bring you a photo album of the night, as it unfolded.
