William H. Macy officially joined the cast of longtime friend and collaborator David Mamet’s hit
Speed-the-Plow revival on January 13. The stage and screen powerhouse replaced original revival star Jeremy Piven (who unexpectedly left the production December 16 citing personal illness) as conflicted Hollywood producer Bobby Gould. Fortunately for audiences, Macy returns to Broadway after a decade away (though he’s had numerous off-Broadway shows and big-time films to keep him busy), heating up an already red-hot production with co-stars
