Broadway veteran and all-around funnyman Harvey Fierstein braved some bitter, blustery Manhattan weather for an appearance on the Today Show on April 7. The multiple Tony Award-winning actor and playwright chatted about his upcoming musical A Catered Affair, which he co-wrote with composer John Bucchino. (Fierstein also appears onstage in a non-comedic role.) After cracking up co-hosts Kathie Lee Gifford (making her Today show debut!) and Hoda Kotb, Fierstein grabbed a microphone and sang "Coney Island" from the new musical. Then it was off to record the show's cast album with the rest of the Catered Affair players.
