Born on the athletic fields across the nation, Blast! is a singular entertainment evolved from the showmanship of outdoor spectacle. The show, which has toured the U.S. and played a successful engagement in the West End, combines the genre of outdoor pageantry with the artistry of stage performance. Blast!, grew from the drum corps Star of Indiana, which was founded in 1984 in Bloomington, Indiana, by businessman Bill Cook to benefit young people in music education. Blast! consists of 60 cast members, largely in their early 20s, drawn from all across North America.
