Carol Woods: From Blues to Broadway Story

At the 2008 Grammy Awards, Carol Woods received a standing ovation for her gripping and unforgettable performance of the Beatles' "Let It Be," which she performed that year in Julie Taymor's film, Across the Universe. This fall, Carol makes her triumphant return to the New York cabaret stage in From Blues to Broadway, an eclectic evening of music that will satisfy your every mood swing. Broadway has embraced Carol in diverse roles ranging from Tituba in The Crucible to Matron "Mama" Morton in Chicago, a role she has reprised six times. Other Broadway credits include Big River, Stepping Out, A Little Hotel on the Side, The Goodbye Girl, Follies, and One Mo' Time.
