Beware, children of Whoville—that scheming meanie is back. After a smashingly successful holiday run last year,
Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas is headed to Broadway's St. James Theatre beginning November 1 for nine weeks of family-friendly musical fun. Patrick Page, who won raves in the title role a year ago, will don the furry green suit again, just in time to help celebrate the 50th anniversary of the publication of Dr. Seuss' Christmas classic. On October 23, Page and the rest of the cast welcomed the press at an open rehearsal and shared news of director Jack O'Brien's latest tweaks, including the addition of two new songs by Timothy Mason and Mel Marvin and a new set by John Lee Beatty. It'll be a happy holiday indeed! (Sorry, Mr. Grinch.)
