Stage Legend Elaine Paige Gets a Rude Awakening at Forbidden Broadway
"Don't Cry For Me, Miss Elaine Paige…" On Monday, December 17, there were only tears of laughter as London's original star of Evita, among so many other West End hit musicals, made her way to the newest edition of that New York theatrical institution Forbidden Broadway. With a current title that spoofs this year's Tony-winning Best Musical, the cast of Gerard Alessandrini's long-running revue (which in 2006, was itself honored with a special Tony Award!) welcomed stage legend Paige after the performance.
