An Intimate Opening for Off-B'way's Fran's Bed

Writer/director James Lapine has lured luminous star Mia Farrow back to the stage with his latest play, Fran's Bed. The show, which also stars Julia Stiles, Harris Yulin, Heather Burns and Brenda Pressley, opened at Playwrights Horizons on September 25. The dark yet comedic play is a delicate portrait of a family in crisis. The stars and guests gathered at the nearby West Bank Café to toast the production.
