A Masterclass
"I could not have asked for a better cast! This version of the Ibsen play sharpened the focus of the work and allowed the actors to offer more nuanced performances. Lily Rabe especially left everything she had on the stage floor!"

Ibsen is Ibsen
"Ibsen is like Miller-a sharp critique of society and culture. The production preserves that. The acting could be better. The pastor does not capture the rigidness of Lutheranism at the time-too histrionic a performance. The son returned is not convincing-a listless performance. The other three are better: the man, the mother, the daughter- in that order. In the end, Ibsen delivers, and the production is worth seeing. "
