Hit the Wall Tickets

In the early hours of June 28, 1969 a routine police raid at the The Stonewall Inn, a popular underground gay bar in Greenwich Village, sparks a full-scale riot. Violent protests and street demonstrations continued for the next several days in what became known as The Stonewall Riots, thrusting a group of unlikely revolutionaries onto the frontlines of history, and igniting one of the most influential social and political movements of the 20th Century.

Story

What Is the Story of Hit the Wall?
Hit the Wall interweaves several plots to illuminate the stories of 10 people who changed the course of history. Set on the first night of the historic Stonewall Riots, this play is not about a group of close knit friends (like Rent) but rather 10 gay, lesbian and transgender people living in New York City in 1969 who all happened to find themselves at the Stonewall Inn on June 28. From a young gay teen who is spending his first day in Greenwich Village to a drag queen mourning the recent death of Judy Garland,Hit the Wall is filled with colorful characters.
