Imaginary Friends Tickets

Nora Ephron's first Broadway play, Imaginary Friends centers on the fight between playwright Lillian Hellman and author Mary McCarthy. Hellman, rumored to be a Communist supporter, and McCarthy, a dedicated anti-Stalinist, came to public blows after McCarthy spoke out against Hellman's memoirs An Unfinished Woman, Pentimento and Scoundrel Time during a legendary appearance on The Dick Cavett Show. "Every word she writes is a lie, including 'and' and 'the,'" McCarthy said and the battle lines were drawn.
