About The Madrid

Everything you need to know about the show.

The Story

What Is the Story of The Madrid?
The Madrid is the darkly comedic story of Martha, a kindergarten teacher in a Chicago suburb who suddenly walks out on her family and job and starts a new life in a seedy downtown apartment complex named The Madrid. After Martha's disappearance, her 22-year-old-daughter, Sarah, must try to pick up the pieces, including comforting her father, John, who copes by selling everything that reminds him of his wife. Also in the picture: the family's nosy, needy neighbor Becca and her husband, Danny, and Martha's elderly mother, Rose, who alludes to previous episodes in which Martha tried to escape.
