After the first read-through of David Mamet's new political comedy November, stars Nathan Lane, Laurie Metcalf, Dylan Baker, Michael Nichols and Ethan Phillips, along with their director Joe Mantello, met the press on November 26 at the 42nd Street Studios. The world premiere play, which takes place just days before a presidential election, features the Tony Award-winning Lane as the U.S. Commander-in-Chief and goes head-on (in rapid-fire Mamet fashion) with such topical issues as gambling casinos, Native Americans, gay civil unions, questionable pardons and campaign contributions, among others. It begins previews at Broadway's Ethel Barrymore Theatre the week before Christmas on December 20. Until then, take a look at the folks from the war room here.
