Eventually Amanda peels away the rough layers of Gus' unhappy heart to reveal the silenced passions of a man and a lover. Southern Comforts is a beautiful exploration of the intimate workings of all relationships. It comes to New York after premiering at Coconut Grove Playhouse earlier this year.
