So where was budding star Vanessa Anne Hudgens while a record-breaking 17 million TV viewers were watching the premiere of High School Musical 2 on the Disney Channel? On Broadway, of course! That's right—on Friday, August 17, as kids (and musical fans like us!) were tuned into the ongoing romantic dramas of Troy, Gabriella and the rest of the HSM kids, Hudgens was seated at the Eugene O'Neill for teen drama of another sort at the Tony-winning Spring Awakening. Afterwards, the gracious 18-year-old headed backstage to get to know the stars of the show, who were all happy to make her acquaintance.
