Natalie Portman Makes a Spring Awakening
It's been six summers since movie star Natalie Portman tread the New York boards as Nina in Mike Nichols' production of The Seagull in Central Park opposite Meryl Streep and an all-star cast. But that hasn't stopped the V for Vendetta star's love of live theater—especially musicals! After all, as a youngster, Portman cut her thespian teeth as Laura Bell Bundy's understudy off-Broadway in Ruthless!. On Wednesday, July 25, Portman took in the ground-breaking Broadway musical Spring Awakening at the Eugene O'Neill. After the show, the actress went backstage and met the cast of the Tony Award-winning Best Musical of 2007. Check it out.
