Happy Broadway Birthday, Spelling Bee!
The cast of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee were tickled pink on May 2. Was it because of a magic foot, two dads or the ability to speak six languages? Um, sort of. The cast of the touching show about over-achieving misfit spellers was celebrating its first anniversary on the Great White Way. The company gathered in the lobby of the Circle in the Square Theatre, which is decked out in show-appopriate middle school paraphernalia. Three cheers for Spelling Bee's success!
