Spelling Bee Contest Winners Chosen for Broadway Guest-Spots
On the afternoon of Wednesday, September 27, at New York's Circle in the Square theater, five semi-finalist teams from around the country in the Starbucks National Scavenger Hunt Contest gave their all towards landing a guest-spot appearance on Broadway in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Competing in a spelling contest in teams of two—from the Del Mar Decafs to the Las Vegas Lattes— the duos battled it out while members of the Broadway cast interjected selected songs and scenes from the popular musical.
