The Milliner (Off-Broadway) Story

Set in pre- and post war London and Berlin, The Milliner is drawn in part from the author's own family experience, and told against the background of Berlin cabaret music of the time. On one level, it is the story of a Jewish hatmaker's passionate involvement with an alluring German nightclub singer. On another, it is a haunting and ever-relevant tale of longing for one's homeland and the universal need to belong.
