All the costumes were incredible!
"The woman who played the maid and other parts was wonderful, so heartfelt. Miss Chenoweth was a Shakespearean performance to behold. Each of the main characters performances were stellar. Their musical numbers, thank you Stephen Schwartz, moved the story along smoothly and effectively. This musical has a niche performance appeals to its own unique audience. Kudos from this older gay man."

Review of show
"My husband and I did enjoy the show. We thought it ran a little long. There was a lot of messages to take away from the show. We thought that Kristen did a fantastic job as well as the rest of the cast. Sets and design are terrific."

It had no memorable songs…
"I thought the sets were great but the story, albeit true was a bit ridiculous. It just went on and on with no real point. All the songs sounded the same … very disappointing…"

The show does not deliver
"I had high expectations because of the creative talent that created and performed the show. However, the plot and the pacing were erratic. The characters were not compelling or sympathetic. The musical numbers were not memorable. This show, in short, was extremely disappointing. "

About The Queen of Versailles

“Kristin Chenoweth reigns supreme in The Queen of Versailles, a lavish and ambitious new musical” (People). Based on Lauren Greenfield’s wildly astonishing documentary, this “smart and sparkling” (The New York Times, Critic’s Pick) production triumphantly reunites Chenoweth with Academy Award®–winning songwriter Stephen Schwartz for the first time since Wicked.

From computer engineer to Mrs. Florida to billionairess, Jackie Siegel sees herself as the embodiment of the American Dream. Now, as the wife of David “The Timeshare King” Siegel and mother of their eight children, she invites us to behold their most grandiose venture yet: building the largest private home in America — a $100 million house in Orlando, Florida, big enough for her dreams and inspired by the Palace of Versailles. But with the Great Recession of 2008 looming, Jackie and David’s dreams begin to crumble, along with their lavish lifestyle.

Also starring Academy Award winner F. Murray Abraham (Amadeus), The Queen of Versailles features a book by Olivier Award nominee Lindsey Ferrentino (Fear of 13) and direction by Tony Award winner Michael Arden (Maybe Happy Ending). It’s “a quintessential fable of contemporary America” (The Washington Post) that explores the true cost of fame, fortune, and family.
