Dianne Wiest and Alan Cumming's Soaring Opening Night in The Seagull

The Classic Stage Company production of Anton Chekhov's The Seagull, starring Academy Award winner Dianne Wiest and Tony winner Alan Cumming, had a soaring opening night on March 13. In the production, directed by Viacheslav Dolgachev, Wiest plays the diva-actress-mother Irina Arkadina, with Cumming cast as Trigorin, her writer companion. The piece, which is about artistic people and their egos, appetites and selfishness, found a bevy of creative types attending the opening night at CSC's East Village digs. Take a look!
