The Circle in the Square Theatre is a legitimate Broadway theater designed by Alan Sayles. It was built on the site of the famed Capitol Movie House and is one of two theaters now located inside the building known as Paramount Plaza. Its first Broadway production was in 1972.
The auditorium is one of two Broadway theaters that use a thrust stage that extends into the audience on three sides.
Circle in the Square Theatre provides audio description devices for every performance at the theater. The theater also offers hand-held devices that provide captioning for deaf or hard of hearing patrons.
