Theater Policies

The Westside Theatre has recently updated their health & safety policies. As the theater updates its policies, we will update this page to reflect them.

COVID-19 Health & Safety Guidelines

MASKS REQUIRED

Acceptable face coverings must be worn at all times when inside the building, including during the show, except while eating or drinking in designated locations. All face coverings must cover the nose and mouth and comply with the CDC guidelines for acceptable face coverings If you are unable to wear a mask, we look forward to seeing you after these mandates have been lifted, but for now: masks are required for all guests inside the theatre, regardless of vaccination status.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the proximity to the actors, all patrons in Row A must be fully vaccinated regardless of performance date, and must show proof, per the guidelines below:
  • Two doses of an FDA or WHO authorized two dose COVID-19 vaccine.
  • One dose of an FDA or WHO authorized single dose COVID-19 vaccine.
  • If your performance is less than 14 days after your last vaccine dose (excluding boosters), you must also provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test. See below for accepted tests.

  • You may present proof of vaccination on paper or a smartphone. (For example, New York State residents, or anyone who received a COVID-19 vaccine in New York State, may present proof through the use of the Excelsior Pass.)

APPROVED VACCINES: Pfizer/BioNTech (2 dose), Moderna (2 dose), Janssen/Johnson & Johnson, Oxford/AstraZeneca, Serum Institute of India-Covishield, Sinopharm (Beijing), Sinovac

    WHAT WE’RE DOING

The Westside Theatre, under the advisement of HVAC professionals, has implemented ventilation and filtration enhancements throughout the building, based on best practices. We have also increased daily cleaning and disinfection of all surfaces. Furthermore, efforts have been made to reduce contact points throughout the building, and we encourage the use of print-at-home or tickets on a mobile device. Our staff have all been advised of risk mitigation tactics, through the advice of public health professionals, and will also be required to adhere to the same policies outlined above.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Due to the constantly-evolving nature of the ongoing pandemic, these policies are subject to change. All staff and patrons are required to follow all CDC, NYS, and NYC guidelines at the time of performance. These updated guidelines may include additional requirements, beyond what is outlined above. Additional protocols may include health screenings, testing, temperature checks, or more.

If you receive confirmation of a positive COVID-19 test within two weeks prior to your performance, we ask that you consult a medical professional and not attend the performance unless cleared by said professional.
