In a week in which Broadway box office results rose across the board, a couple of new shows had an even bigger reason to celebrate: Jon Robin Baitz’s well-reviewed Other Desert Cities held on to its slot on the frontrunners’ list for capacity at 100.90%, and Hugh Jackman broke the house record at the Broadhurst Theatre for a second time with a total of more than $1.247 million. (In case you’re wondering, the previous record was held by Al Pacino's production of The Merchant of Venice.) Meanwhile, new entries Lysistrata Jones and On a Clear Day You Can See Forever played their first Broadway previews.
