Fabulation, directed by Kate Whorisky, officially opened at Playwrights Horizons' Peter Jay Sharp Theater on June 13. In his Broadway.com Review of the play, William Stevenson wrote: "Compared to Intimate Apparel--one of the most moving and beautifully acted plays of the past season--Fabulation is marred by an inconsistent tone and uneven direction. But in addition to the strong performances, the satire contains enough of Nottage's well-observed insights into the African-American experience to make it worth seeing."
Fabulation was sold-out before it opened at Playwrights. Because of the actors' schedules this is the last extension possible for the show.
