A Big Helping of Grease on Thanksgiving
Roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie… and a side of Grease? Sounds good to us. The cast of the hit musical left their usual home at the Brooks Atkinson Theater on Turkey Day this year, braving the cold to take the show on to the streets for a cool Thanksgiving Day Parade performance broadcast on CBS. Stars Derek Keeling and Ace Young led the rest of the Rydell High gang to an authentic NYC garage, where the T-Birds honored all the motorized holiday floats (and their own beloved ride) with a of “Greased Lightnin'” that rocked. The troupe was kind enough to let Broadway.com follow them on their holiday road trip, and we were happy to oblige. Give thanks for Grease and have a Happy T-Bird Day!
