Our trip to “A Walk On The Moon”
"We loved “A Walk On The Moon”. It was a magical, nostalgic, musical trip back to memories of childhood summers in the Catskill Mountains of upstate New York. Each and every talented cast member was top notch, as was their energy, voices, music, humor, (& orchestra). The only downside to this production is its’ run which is way too short, and ends in one week! There were five of us who attended Saturday’s matinee performance, and all agreed that it would be a shame not to extend, or bring it back, because we’d see it again & again. The why is simple; it made us so happy!"

Really marvelous!
"I loved this show! I've seen the movie (many times) and so I knew what to expect in the storyline. However, it was great how the songs enhanced what Pearl was going through during the exciting summer of 1969. I won't mention the song, but one that Pearl and all her friends sing is particularly good! Everyone's voice sounded great and the set was very clever. I enjoyed it very much and I would recommend it to everyone--little children wouldn't understand most of the story and a couple (very few and short) scenes wouldn't be appropriate for ages under 12. But a young teenager would definitely identify with the daughter in the story. If you haven't seen the movie, I'd say see the musical first. But having seen the movie didn't spoil the experience for me."

Woodstock Generation
"I thought they did an exceptional job adapting from the movie, which is one of my favorites! Anyone from the Woodstock era can relate to the time, moon landing, Woodstock, the Vietnam War! Really enjoyed the production!"

About A Walk on the Moon

It’s the Summer of 1969. Pearl Kantrowitz, a Brooklyn mother and housewife, takes the annual trip north to a Catskills bungalow colony just as the world begins to shift beneath her feet. The country is reaching for the moon. A new spirit of freedom is sweeping the nation. And an unexpected encounter leads her to a musical festival happening just around the corner.
