I want to see it again!
"I absolutely adored this, from beginning to end. If you're a musicals fan or a movie fan or a dance fan, this is heaven. It was stunning to see the Cyd Charisse/Gene Kelly choreography up close, in person, not just on a screen. And "Moses Supposes"! Stunning! It was a thrill to see the "American in Paris" pas de deux again. And "Simply Irresistible" made me want to get up and dance, right there. This is a gift."

Great dance and vocals and loved the live music!
"We were happy to hear live music warm-up when we arrived since we assumed soundtracks would be used. It’s amazing to get live dance/musical with live music at that ticket pricepoint—wow!"

Exceeded Expectations
"Exceeded expectations! "Everything from the singing to the dancing performed in the show was equally captivating. Loved the Broadway classics they chose to highlight. Loved the tap dancing, ballet and swing. A must-see performance. Cast members are so very talented. "

An entertaining education...
"I enjoyed the evening. Most of the cast was earnest and wonderful. The woman who did City Lights and Music and the Mirror was in a league of her own. She had iconic shoes to fill and she filled them and then owned them. It wasn't about "was she as good as," it was about "did she let us have a real sense of what it was to watch Minelli and McKechnie bring their choreographers' vision to life." She did. Other numbers missed the boat critically. The Pippin number was barely a pale shadow of Fosse's work. I'll bet those dancers did not work with a Fosse coach and it was painfully evident. This comment is not about them, Fosse is impossibly difficult to master and very easy to walk through [no kicks, turns, splits]. It won't just happen. These kids were left to their own devices. Broadway Melody Ballet was very VERY interesting. The woman had the feet, had the ankles and turnout. The lyrical elements were in place. It was the "connecting choreography" that I never thought of as "connecting choreography" when Cyd Charisse did it... was missing. This woman "walked through" that choreography to get to the next pose/stretch... Those steps were perhaps the most difficult to master and the most important. Her character is revealed in THAT choreography. The rest of the show was good to great. COOL was wonderful. ONE was... well, sluggish. I hope this show continues to run, I hope they trade out numbers. I hope that maybe they can pepper the cast with some names that will draw more audience. It was a 3/4 full house which was disheartening. I take the time to offer my insights because I am in truth a fan of American Dance Machine. "
