"Was in NYC week of Oct. 14 for my 70th birthday and to see 3 shows. Started coming to Broadway shows in 1975 and first show was A Chorus Line--which I thought nothing could ever be better than this. However, after seeing more than 40 Broadway Shows, Hamilton was extraordinary and stands on equal footing with Wicked and Phantom of the Opera. Hamilton was beautifully written and the cast was superior. Run don't walk to see this show. "

Unlike any play I’ve ever seen
"It’s singing and rapping the story. I found even if I lost some of the words the flow of it was great and could follow the story without issues. Epic sound and choreography at the right moments to make it feel very intense and engaging, with some good light hearted moments too. Really great modern sounding music that for me helps in a big way to shake any feeling of (a perhaps unfairly) old school pretentiousness I’ve sometimes associated with visiting a theatre in the past. I loved that it’s set in New York and I watched on broadway too, this really added to it (and I’m from the uk). Fantastic 10/10 would go again. More like this!"

Listen To The Soundtrack First
"I, along with my wife and adult daughter, enjoyed the show immensely. The music, the singing, the dance - all spectacular.
A friend had suggested that we listen to the soundtrack and follow along with the lyrics so that we would be familiar with the story before attending the performance. This would allow us to "meet" the characters beforehand and enjoy the music and dance without having to try and decipher the words as they were being sung.
We followed this suggestion and found it to be extremely helpful. My wife's concerns that it would ruin the experience were eliminated as soon as the show opened. We laughed, we cried, we clapped and cheered. Even knowing what was coming next, we were continually surprised and enchanted by the action on the stage.
It was a fantastic experience."
