The Wall Street Journal

"'Hamilton' is the most exciting and significant musical of the decade. Sensationally potent and theatrically vital, it is plugged straight into the wall socket of contemporary music. This show makes me feel hopeful for the future of musical theater."

The New York Times

"Historic. 'Hamilton' is brewing up a revolution. This is a show that aims impossibly high and hits its target. It's probably not possible to top the adrenaline rush."

A little disappointing
"I love the music in Hamilton. I had seen the show in Toledo, Ohio as part of their Broadway series, and was expecting this show to be next level good. I wanted to be blown away. It was good, don’t get me wrong, but the sound was not right. I had trouble hearing several of the performers over the music — especially the Aaron Burr character. The Angelica character was also difficult to hear unless she was really belting it out. I can only surmise something was amiss with their microphones. I had a third row center seat, which was great for watching the action, but was I too close to the orchestra?"

Would highly recommend to history lovers.
"We liked the play. It started off a little slow for us, but picked up about 30 minutes into it. I would highly recommend it for anybody that likes to know about history. It was a very interesting way to tell the story of Hamilton’s life. The theater only has one bathroom downstairs so if you are planning on using it, I would suggest you go before intermission. "

Good performance, but expected better
"The set, choreography and songs of Hamilton are brilliant. I think the creators of Hamilton did something really incredible. Unfortunately I found that the current cast didn't do the original performances by Lin Manuel-Miranda and company justice. The current actor portraying Hamilton had a delivery that sometimes felt flat and emotionless, and the actor portraying Aron Burr sometimes missed timings during the songs (especially during the song 'wait for it', he was consistently a half-second late in delivering his lines). Overall the musical itself is brilliant and well worth your time, but I expected a better delivery from the cast. "

Its good but not fantastic
"We attend a lot of Broadway shows and given the hype, my wife and I both expected a lot. What we got was a slightly above average enjoyable show that seemed to over emphasize what some call political correctness. I would not call this a great show. The story, the songs and the production was just better than average."
