Good performance, but expected better
"The set, choreography and songs of Hamilton are brilliant. I think the creators of Hamilton did something really incredible. Unfortunately I found that the current cast didn't do the original performances by Lin Manuel-Miranda and company justice. The current actor portraying Hamilton had a delivery that sometimes felt flat and emotionless, and the actor portraying Aron Burr sometimes missed timings during the songs (especially during the song 'wait for it', he was consistently a half-second late in delivering his lines). Overall the musical itself is brilliant and well worth your time, but I expected a better delivery from the cast. "

Its good but not fantastic
"We attend a lot of Broadway shows and given the hype, my wife and I both expected a lot. What we got was a slightly above average enjoyable show that seemed to over emphasize what some call political correctness. I would not call this a great show. The story, the songs and the production was just better than average."

Lots of rap
"Of course it is well done, acted & sung. Rap is not my preference. I enjoyed it. "

Good but overrated
"The show is good but as much as the hype around it would make you believe. Nothing mind-blowing just... good"

Difficult to understand
"Sitting on the mezzanine, I found it very difficult to understand what the actors were saying. I believe it was mainly an issue with audio mixing and low volume. Costumes and choreography were great. Story was average."

Can’t listen fast enough
"Very difficult to understand actors because they sing/rap so fast. Second act was a little easier to hear than the first act. "

Hamilton not so much
"I thought the choreography and staging was very well done, but if there was a story they were telling me I failed to understand it. I asked my companion are you getting this story, and he said yes but he had read the book first. I like musicals that tell a story, some of them have moved me to tears, but this one doesn't do it."

Disappointing
"Huge fan of In The Hights and many other musicals. Didn’t like this one at all. Seemed super flat, no up’s and downs. Me not being from US may have also influenced, since I’m not touched by the history. "

Wrong context. Contrived.
"Frankly, left before it ended. It was dificult to follow and even though the rap aspect was explained it was completely overdone and felt so awkward in this period piece. I know the effort was to be avant-garde but in my opinion it was contrived and simply odd. I don't recommend this show, as so many others are far superior. For all the press, I believe this to be political statement vs. a entertainment piece. "

Left at the intermission
"The performers were very talented and did a good job. We couldn’t understand what they were saying. We both dislike rap. We couldn’t wait to leave. A total waste of time and money."
