"I visit NYC regularly and have resisted going to see Hamilton. Partly due to cost of tickets and partly because I like new works rather than tried and tested. This past Sunday we decided it was time to see what all the fuss is about. Firstly I’m kicking myself for not going sooner. The current cast are fabulous and created a real buzz that the audience responded to and embraced. My only complaint is ticket prices are high and it puts seeing it out of reach for many, but if you can scrape some funds together, go see it live."

An amazing experience
"That was a one in a lifetime experience. I managed to stay in NY for a weekend just to watch Hamilton (and go to the Statue of Liberty, but that’s another story). The performance I watched was from another world. Amazing, talented actors, with incomparable voices, great music of course and a great story (knew most of the lyrics, thanks to Spotify and the million times I’ve listened to the songs). "I came in being a fanatic fan of the original Hamilton, and the biggest fan of Lin. This of course made me skeptical of seeing new actors in the roles. I want to be clear, every single person in this play held their own and made you so engulfed in the play that you were memorized. BUT - I fell in love with the actor who played Hamilton(J Quinton). He was funny, and cute, and had completely different perspectives on a role I didn't think were possible. He made me completely forget about any previous actors who played this role and gave new life to this performance. He sang songs that I knew word for word, and added melodies and nuances that left me baffled and crying in my seat. I can't recommend this play enough. "
