Fantastic for fans of all sorts
"I was never a huge Bobby Darin fan. Sure, I knew a couple hits like most people (Beyond the Sea, Splish Splash) so i wasn't sure what to expect. However, the journey through Darin’s life that is this show is wonderfully crafted for fans young and old, casual fans and fanatics alike. Superbly written, most enjoyable and easy to follow left me leaving this show wanting to see and hear more of Bobby Darin’s music.
Most importantly- I CANNOT emphasize enough the talent of all the actors but most notably the lead Jonathan Groff. This man was born to sing, dance, and win the hearts of audiences on any and every stage he enters. I will never miss a show that he is cast in. Whether you are a fan of ole swingin Bobby D, or just want to be awe’d by the most talented actor Broadway has ever seen, this show is worth the experience.
The intimate setting in such a small venue is a plus as well. Felt like we were at a Cabaret!

"The Circle in the Square Theatre is one of the best venues. Not a bad seat in the house. Wonderfully beautiful set. You will feel like you’re actually in a nightclub with a talented live band. Loved the ambience.
Cast members used the entire theatre to engage the audience.
Great fun to unexpectedly have them pop up throughout the theatre. Story is funny, sad but never boring. Musical selections support the storytelling flawlessly. I’d forgotten some Darin tunes and was thrilled to be reminded.
The cast is so talented: singing, dancing, incredibly quick costume changes. They were all performing at their best. Much appreciate their dedication to their craft.
Jonathan Groff is without a doubt one of our most talented performers: singer, dancer, musician, great comedic timing but also serious drama chops. He’s such a thrill to watch. I’ve enjoyed his tv and movie work but there is nothing like seeing him onstage.
He delivers Darin’s tunes very effectively. He doesn’t attempt to mimic but his interpretation is excellent. His strong singing voice delivers every song worthy of the original recording.
I knew I would love seeing JG but wasn’t quite sure about the Darin story. I absolutely loved the production. Writers, musical directors, set decorators, cast and JG delivered a winning musical. Even if you’re not familiar with the Darin story or music, audience members will find themselves highly entertained by the events and music in Bobby Darin’s short life.
Treat yourself to a good time. I’d be happy to return for round two for great entertainment.

"Well, we loved King George ( JG) so start there.
He is a brilliant, energetic, genuine, funny, warm entertainer who exudes happiness! Boy does he connect with his audience!!
We would highly recommend a seat at the cabaret tables, if you can get one. That seat (3T 1,2 is a whole other experience. JG sprayed us with spit several times. A badge of honor indeed!!!
( a little more direction ahead of time about checking coats, bags, etc if you have a cabaret table seat)
