"Jonathan Groff lights up the stage every second. He’s an astounding talent, and Just In Time is a thoroughly enjoyable nightclub act. The nightclub stage set sets the scene and the audience feels like they’re part of the moment. The play itself is thin, but it really didn’t matter when you’re watching such exciting talent as Jonathan Groff. "

Get to Know Bobby Darin
"Jonathan Groff was superb as himself and Bobby Darin. He is a born performer and made the show. I loved all the songs, dancing and humor. Everyone on stage seemed to be having a great time and their exuberance spilled over to the audience. Circle in the Square is a perfect venue for this performance as there is not a bad seat in the house and the actors incorporated the audience into the show. I came to show barely knowing who Bobby Darin was and left a huge fan. "

Electric Show of Song and Dance!
"This is a blockbuster musical that chronicles the life and career of Bobby Darin, a giant of 1960s pop music. Jonathan Groff soars vocally and dramatically as Darin, and he is surrounded by equally ebullient cast members in a lavishly mounted production. Is Darin worth two and one-half hours of stage time? Leight and Oliver's book could have been tightened significantly to tell the story. Darin was important, but he was no Paul McCartney or John Lennon."

A musical delight……
"The personal touches, amazing music and performers brought the story of Bobby Darin to life in the most charming possible way. The smaller theater, floor seats and audience interaction was great. The musical numbers were energetic and spot on. I could watch this every night. "

Jonathan Groff Walks On Water
"Bobby Darin was a talented and troubled artist who delivered several memorable songs in a career cut tragically short by a weak heart. Just In Time ticks off his career highlights, topped by a show-stopping first act curtain rendition of his most famous hit, a jazzy rendition of "Mack the Knife".
From there it's hard to regain momentum as the second act gets underway, and the show drags a bit through Darin's courtship and marriage to Sandra Dee. But it delivers a wallop with an unexpected revelation from the singer's life story.
Throughout, Jonathan Groff is phenomenal. He has a good voice, but his charm and his energy and his sheer love of the stage and the audience surrounding him make this an irresistible evening. He's ably supported by a fine cast and a band of talented musicians. Groff is one of those rare performers who could bring the phone book to exuberant life, and do the Yellow Pages for a curtain call. "

A good show
"Show was a good review of Bobby Darin and had recognizable songs. Good energy and good dancing. Script was OK. Entertaining and worth seeing. As a biographical show, Beautiful (Carol King) had better script."

It's Jonathan Groff all the way
"Jonathan Groff is a multi-talented Broadway baby, and he aims to please. In "Just in Time," he hits the mark. He is so likable that when other characters concur that his Bobby Darin character was a piece of work and difficult, it is confusing to the audience that has just finished falling in love with him. This jukebox musical features all the hits and about a thousand costume changes for its talented cast. It is fun, entertaining, and engaging, except for a dip in the second act when it gets wordy and bogs down a bit. This experience is not about the show. It is about Mr. Groff and he is definately worth the price of admission."

Bit of a let down
"The lead is probably the most charismatic performer since Hugh Jackman. Beautiful voice, great energy. Frankly the supporting cast did not measure up and the story was weak. But then I am
not a big fan of jukebox musicals. Go see it to witness a truly gifted performer. "

Fun show, but orchestra too loud.
"Fun, high energy show, but the orchestra, especially the drummer, was drowning out the dialogue. There is no need to amplify the musicians when they are up on the stage. My iWatch kept going off warning of dangerous noise."

Go for Groff
"Jonathan Groff is fabulous in this show, as are his female costars, and I always love the intimacy of Circle in the Square productions. I didn’t find the “plot” of the show itself to be that interesting, and there are many more shows currently running that are more innovative and captivating."

I enjoyed the title which I will always associate with Bobby Darin
"The show is true perfection. Jonathan Groff is the epitome of a triple threat: singing, acting and dancing. His ability to interact on a personal level with the audience is incredible. For me his discussions about the Copacabana (At the Copa) brought back wonderful memories. The Copa represented the very best in entertainment. If you can make it there, you can do anything. Thank you for one of the best shows I have ever attended."

About
Just In Time
Just In Time is an “utterly electrifying” (Entertainment Weekly) new musical that brings to life the story of Bobby Darin, the legendary singer whose short but remarkable journey took him from teen idol to global sensation. Developed and directed by Tony Award® winner Alex Timbers (Moulin Rouge!, Beetlejuice), with a book by Warren Leight and Isaac Oliver, the show immerses audiences into an intimate nightclub “so seductive in ambiance that you find yourself not wanting to go back outside” (Chicago Tribune). Complete with iconic hits including “Beyond the Sea,” “Mack the Knife,” “Splish Splash,” and “Dream Lover,” Just In Time is “a helluva good time at the theater” (Time Out).
