Funny and heartbreaking
"The actors did an amazing job conveying the humor and devastation that happens in life….love, death, illness….I don’t know how they do it day after day….so emotionally draining!! The entire cast was amazing!!"

Great emotional production
"Julianna Margulies and Peter Gallagher are terrific in this gut wrenching yet warm play. We were so pleasantly surprised at how good it is after seeing the lukewarm NYTimes review ——a must see!!"

Laughter and tears
"The show was simply a delight. A romance with complications that led to a happy end. The actors fully inhabited their roles and had me feel their joy and despair, and make me laugh out loud and brought me to tears. I appreciated the happy end."

I’m a huge Nora/ Delia Ephron fan…
"I read the book a while ago- and the show is based on the book which is a true story about something amazing that happened to Delia. The show was adorable and cheeky is that very “Ephron” way, and I thought they did a great job capturing the essence of the book in the screenplay. Julianna Margulies and Peter Gallagher are PERFECT!!! "

Didn’t disappoint!
"Read the book and was curious how it could be staged. Seemingly simple set changes did not distract from content. Actors were great. 👍 "

It’s a story about finding love but not a romantic comedy.
"As long as you know that this is not a romantic comedy, you should love it. I found the play to be better than I expected. It’s simple, just a hand full of actors that do a great job. I was hanging on every word. Powerful moments during the play will tug on your heartstrings."

“Minnesota -Nice “ Review
"The set design was beautifully done as were the technical enhancements. My wife and I both enjoyed the expert acting, but thought too much of it felt like we were being read to from a book. "

Only 4 actors?
"It was an amazing set design and the supporting cast was so incredible! Tough storyline (as I’m a cancer survivor), but beautifully acted! "

Seeing Two Favorite Stars
"Loved the book, so I wanted to see the play. To my surprise I found the co-stars as delightful as the Stars. I really wanted to Julianna Margollies on live stage as well as Peter Gallagher. The play is well crafted and the actors were wonderful. It’s a great small theatre experience. One caveat. The balcony seats are very tight. Not comfortable for anyone who might need knee space."

An intimate experience
"Cleverly staged with an excellent cast, this compelling story cuts pretty close to the bone for those of us who have lived through similar life experiences. It feels very real, sad but hopeful."

Very Good to Excellent
"My husband loved it. I thought it was pretty good. The first part is excellent. The hospital scenes were good but went on too long. The two other actors were incredible with all their roles. MM was excellent and PG was good but a bit tired/old school (which may have been the point?)!!"

I laughed and I cried
"The 4-person cast was absolutely wonderful. I've been a fan of Julianna Margulies since ER, but who knew she could be funny? Peter Gallagher was utterly charming and the other two actors handled their multiple costume and personna changes so brilliantly, they nearly stole the show. The hospital scenes were a little drawn out, but all in all, I stayed engaged throughout the one act play. Of particular note, the staging and lighting were absolutely brilliant! "

Good Acting
"The acting was good. It was kind of a romantic comedy with definite dramatic elements. Some of the writing is a bit typical for a romantic comedy, a bit cutesy for my taste. It was nice to see some of Hollywood’s finest actors still holding up well and doing the best they could with the author’s work."

Loved Julianna and Peter in Left on Tenth- story of Hope
"As a wife of a BMT survivor, I know too much...but, I do appreciate the hope, the sense of the whirlwind speed of treatment, and mostly the details of this new treatment for hard to find 100% donor matches...Love that you did a Broadway show in the city where MSK cured my husband from AML. Sad for Delia's sister- love Nora and Delia's writing. "

Charming with a dose of giggles
"I hadn’t read the memoir but enjoyed the themes of love after loss…resilience through challenges…and vibrancy in middle age and beyond. I enjoyed Peter Gallagher’s very natural performance — it felt like he was living the script. Julianna Margulies’ felt a bit less so even though much of the production had her engaging directly w the audience. The delivery felt much more scripted rather than (what I think) was intended to be a conversation. The supporting cast was phenomenal — multiple characters, accents, and affectations can’t be easy. Generally a very enjoyable and heart-warming production. Always a pleasure to see actors from film and television practicing their craft in front of of a live audience."

Second act love story doesn’t disappoint
"Really enjoyed this second act love story based on her true story. Heart breaking and hopeful at the same time. We were in the upper level and would recommend sitting in the lower level since the actors speak directly to the audience.we felt a kit removed sitting up there. Otherwise would totally recommend. "

Love the actors
"Loved the actors, the set and the first part. Hospital part was a bit too long. Would recommend to New Yorkers but if an out of towner is coming to nyc and only has one show to see I’d probably not recommend "

Seats were so uncomfortable that it was hard to enjoy the show
"The show was 100 minutes long without any intermission. The whole time we waited for the play to start, the annoying Verizon customer service “please hold messages” were being played. It was fine a few times but got really annoying. The seats in the mezzanine were among the worst I’ve ever endured and really distracted from what was otherwise a nice play. I will never return to that theater for any play. The sets were wonderful and we liked the transitions between scenes. The two actors who played all of the non-lead parts were really impressive. The music was great. "

About Left on Tenth

Left on Tenth is a true story about love, hope, and the wonder of second chances. When she least expects it, Delia Ephron, best-selling novelist and screenwriter of You've Got Mail, makes a surprising connection with a man from her past and falls into her own romantic comedy. As their immediate spark blossoms into a love story that seems to defy all odds, Delia’s life takes an unexpected turn. Left on Tenth tells the messy, beautiful truth about getting older while feeling young, as it celebrates two people with the courage to rewrite their futures and open their hearts again.
