"I really enjoyed how the show seamlessly shifted between Michael's childhood with the Jackson Five, highlighting his early beginnings. It also did a great job depicting his father Joseph, showcasing his perfectionist and abusive nature. The actor who portrayed Michael was incredible—his voice was so spot-on, it felt like Michael was actually there. "I originally saw this show on Broadway in 2022 at the height of its multiple Tony nominations/wins! I fell in love with the story! It’s so beautifully told, and anyone who has ever been a fan or appreciated MJ’s music should definitely see it! I saw the tour when it came to New Orleans in 2023. I brought my family on their first trip to NYC and told them they HAD to see it as their inaugural Broadway show! They absolutely loved it, and it was as amazingly breathtaking and show stopping this third time as it was my first time! It really takes you on the journey of the HUMAN nature of Michael Joseph Jackson, a humble boy from Gary, IN who simply longed for normalcy.
