My First Broadway Experience
"Yesterday I went to see MJ The Musical, and it was my very first Broadway show. It was such a beautiful experience!
At the beginning I have to admit I was a little confused because I didn’t know what to expect. I imagined the show would start right away with Michael Jackson’s iconic costumes and big performances. Instead, it begins in a rehearsal setting, with the cast dressed in regular rehearsal clothes, and for a moment I thought, “Wait… what is happening?” 😂
But as the story continued, I started to understand the concept, and the show kept getting better and better. The stage transformations, the lighting effects, the choreography, and the way they changed the scenes were incredible. I loved seeing the different versions of Michael, the Jackson 5 moments with the kids, and how they brought different parts of his life and career to the stage.
Some of the dialogue scenes felt a little long for me at times, but the performances, dancing, and music made it completely worth it. The Thriller scene was one of my favorites! At first I thought they were only going to show a tiny part of it, but later they brought it back with a bigger production, and it was amazing.
Overall, it was a great first Broadway experience. The talent, the energy, and the production were impressive. It definitely made me want to come back and discover more Broadway musicals!"
