"I was not a fan of the sets and the play set in modern times but that said Denzel mesmerized and captivated the audience from his first entrance! He burst onto the stage like a glorious Othello! He was brilliant!!! Jake was wonderful also and that is not easy playing opposite the greatest actor or one of the greats I have ever seen.
The audience was thrilled and erupted into rapturous applause at the curtain.
Also showing great dignity and humility Denzel took his bow with his Iago holding his hand and showing his respect for Jake Gylllenhaal who was terrific. This is a must see!!!!"

Fantastic!
"I’m not a huge Shakespeare fan and was worried the old English would be a language barrier for me. While I’m sure there were little things I didn’t pick up, the cast made the story incredibly easy to follow. And of course DENZEL was AMAZING- the whole reason why we went. It was truly a spectacular show. Jake gylenhaal was also perfect and fabulous in his role, as well as the other cast.
The theatre was fast and efficient and the cell phone lock down worked out fine.
My only regret was not buying more expensive seat. I loved every second of it and so did my husband. I’m typically a musical kind of gal, and the only other play I’ve seen was about 20 years ago with Tom hanks (which was also amazing). But this play was perfect. It was funny, engaging, surprising, and the acting was superb.

"The show was engaging from the opening act to the very end. I loved the modern twists that should capture the audience’s interest throughout, without distracting from the original plot. Each actor put their own spin on the characters, bringing them to life in a relatable manner. "Jake Gyllenhaal steals the show. What an amazing performance. Denzel always has that presence on stage and is just behind on the highlights. It’s 2hr 35minutes with an intermission. The intermission comes about 1hr 30 mins in. Probably not for younger children but teenagers maybe. If you want to wait outside to meet the stars after. Jake takes photos and meets people. Denzel gets straight in his car and goes. "
