Really well done, not for young kids
"This story is about how easily we destroy our lives and the lives of those around us when we follow our heart absent the input of any wisdom. Its an accurate, well-executed portrayal but includes brief but unambiguous discussions about things like open relationships, orgies, and voyeurism so let the innocent remain innocent. The cast is talented, the music is very fun, and Jeremy Jordan is an exceptional singer. "

Great all around. The sets, costumes, choreography and the cast.
"Nick was performed by an understudy who was super!
The other understudy was also great.
Gatsby was very real and likeable. The featured dancers were fabulous. The sets were well executed and the production overall was great. I especially enjoyed the costuming! "

Not true to the book
"Stage and lighting were amazing.
The actors were all fantastic and the songs were toe tapping and energetic.
But the plot deviated significantly from the novel and definitely missed the point of the original writer. Here, the theme has become suppression of women. The original novel was more about greed, snobbery (old versus new) and the emptiness of the “American Dream” as experienced by Gatsby himself (who was “the best of them”). An opportunity missed. "

A Fantastic Spectacle Show
"Add The Great Gatsby to the list of Broadway's most fantastic shows. The set alone is worth seeing and, with its own intricate choreography, could itself be considered another character in the show! Jeremy Jordan, of course, is amazing as Gatsby and his voice is quite possibly the best of Broadway's male actors. Overall, the show is family friendly. However, some content may be disturbing to pre-teen children, depending on their sensibilities. The only reason I couldn't give 5 stars is because many of the main character's stand-ins were performing during this particular show, including the main female lead, Grammy winner Eva Maria Noblezada, whom I had hoped to see perform. Even so, the show provided excellent entertainment and a fun evening with family. "

Production and Jeremy Jordan
"Family of four, in town for a long weekend:
The production was phenomenal. Lighting and use of projection created a layer of detail that was entertaining in itself. Jeremy Jordan made an excellent Gatsby and writing/direction for the part seemed a notch above the treatment given to Nick Carraway and Daisy Bucahnan.
Any anticipation of Gatsby the musical being a true reflection of the book would be misplaced. Enjoy the spectacle, the performances and be entertained. Where the characters lack a sincere opportunity to develop depth, the stage performance, particularly the chorus group, provided a stunning effort, specifically in support of the "New Money" and recreation of the military ball.
Highly recommend for families with a caveat for kids likely to be above 12. "

Beautiful show
"The sets for this show are incredible! The cast was superb, and the choreography was a treat to witness. The actors were wonderful (Jeremy Jordan’s voice is just Wow! - a great Gatsby!). I enjoyed Eva Noblezada as Daisy as well, but my favorite characters were Nick Carraway (Noah J Ricketts) and Jordan Baker (Samantha Pauly), who had great chemistry and wonderful comic timing. The songs were entertaining, though a couple didn’t hold my attention and I found myself snoozing.
Overall, a great time at the theater. "

Gatsby’s heart wrenching story
"Before I came to see the show, I wasn’t very familiar with the story of Jay Gatsby. Turns out this cast of incredible talent would turn a normal matinee into a wonderful immersive experience. The story of Jay Gatsby’s forbidden love for Daisy, scandals and shady business all around, and the incredibly sad ending, all come together with Jeremy Jordan and Eva Noblezada to be a masterpiece. I am so happy I had the opportunity to see this show and amazing cast and I wish all of the cast and crew the best of luck."

fun and beautiful sets
"First of all, the sets were gorgeous, leaning into the opulence of the story. Costuming was good, with Daisy’s being my favorite. Strong talent on stage. I do feel like sometimes it leaned too much into comedy. Daisy & Jay’s chemistry was not always there. Songs were good but some carried on a beat too long."

"The costumes and set design was excellent and transformative into the luxury of the 1920s. I loved My Green Light, have literally been playing it on repeat the day after the performance. Strongest singer was Ryan McCartan (Jay Gatsby). He was very impactful and really brought out the low class/phony identity of Gatsby that the film (Leo) does not capture as well as it could. This musical has easily taken the spot of an everyday listen to musical along side Hairspray and Wicked."
