"This was my granddaughter's (14 year old) pick for our trip to NYC. I had a basic idea of the plot but she had the book. She loved it and it was better than I expected. Some of the special effects—the rain, the slow motion fight scenes, really added to the performance. As far as it being appropriate for children, there is a reference to suicide but it was handled with discretion. For that reason I'd recommend it for older children. "

"I took my 12 year to see The Outsiders after she'd read the book a few times, and I loved it growing up. I knew it would be good but it absolutely blew us both away. The acting (particularly of Darrel & Dallas) was Incredible, choreography, special effects, and the tightness of the cast was phenomenal. I honestly had tears in my eyes half the show- happy tears. The Outsiders is a perfect title.
"To begin with the choreography was brilliant. The energy provided by the entire cast swept over the audience like a wave.
It was stimulating to see such a young group display such high quality of work both in dance and drama. The Production was true to life and related to the present world climate of disturbing and provoked lifestyles. Despite this the storyline displayed elements of hope and togetherness. This review was written by my wife Rosemary a choreographer and dancer of excellence as well as myself an actor. Worthy of every accolade!
"When I go out to a Broadway show I want to feel it was worth the money. We had orchestra seats in row k and saw every bit of the set and actors. The story was compelling, the dynamic between all the actors was spot on. I brought my nieces and my own nine year old and twelve year old, and while some of the subjects were heart wrenching, I felt they were able to handle it. Every parent has to know their child.
