The Story

The winner of the Tony Award® for Best Musical is The Outsiders. This classic coming-of-age story takes you to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1967, where Ponyboy Curtis, his best friend Johnny Cade, and their family of Greaser “outsiders” dream about who they want to become in a world that will never accept them. Better than I expected!

"This was my granddaughter's (14 year old) pick for our trip to NYC. I had a basic idea of the plot but she had the book. She loved it and it was better than I expected. Some of the special effects—the rain, the slow motion fight scenes, really added to the performance. As far as it being appropriate for children, there is a reference to suicide but it was handled with discretion. For that reason I'd recommend it for older children. "

Exceeded expectations!!

"I took my 12 year to see The Outsiders after she'd read the book a few times, and I loved it growing up. I knew it would be good but it absolutely blew us both away. The acting (particularly of Darrel & Dallas) was Incredible, choreography, special effects, and the tightness of the cast was phenomenal. I honestly had tears in my eyes half the show- happy tears. My favorite broadway experience. Bravo!!"
