Thou Shalt Not tells a story of uncontrollable passion set in New Orleans just after World War II. Adapted from Emile Zola's novel Therese Raquin, it is the tale of a young married woman whose life is changed by the arrival of a jazz musician returning from the war. Jazz/pop artist Harry Connick, Jr. makes his Broadway debut as a songwriter with the Creole-flavored score. Hot off The Producers, Susan Stroman is the director and choreographer of the dance-heavy show. Craig Bierko and Kate Levering, who appeared in The Music Man together, play the lusty lovers.
