George Salazar is thrilled to be making his Broadway return in The Rocky Horror Show, his fourth collaboration with director Sam Pinkleton. He is best known for his work on Broadway as Michael in the cult sensation Be More Chill, a role for which he earned a Lucille Lortel Award, two Broadway.com Audience Choice Awards, and nominations for Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards. His Act II number, “Michael in the Bathroom,” has been streamed over 70 million times across platforms. His theater credits include Seymour, opposite Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, in the critically acclaimed Pasadena Playhouse production of Little Shop of Horrors; the Sam Pinkleton-helmed productions of Head Over Heels and La Cage aux Folles, also at the Tony Award-winning Pasadena Playhouse; Oscar Acosta in Joe Iconis’ newest musical, The Untitled Unauthorized Hunter S. Thompson Musical; and his Drama Desk-nominated performance as Grover and Mr. D in The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical. His television appearances include George Conway in Impeachment: American Crime Story and Eric Sosa on NBC’s Superstore for two seasons. He also voiced Happy in Disney’s live-action remake of Snow White. Salazar is repped by Innovative Artists, Principal Entertainment, and Schreck Rose Dapello Adams Berlin & Dunham.

Larson died just hours after the final dress rehearsal for the off-Broadway opening of his rock-musical, Rent, which is an updated version of Puccini's La Bohème, set in the East Village. His death created a wave of press attention and the show has since become one of the longest running shows in Broadway history with a special appeal to young audiences.
