The voices gave me chills not a dull or boring moment
"I went in with no expectations and left wanting to see it again, and I will!!! It was so great the voices of all the characters were simply GODS GIFT to the audience I hope they don’t change much if anything for the opening show. "

Best singing cast-wide of any Broadway show I've ever since
"This was incredible! I went my sister to see this, and we loved it. The music was beautiful, and so was the story. "

Wonderful Music but story too operatic
"The show in preview needs some editing-too many sidebar plots and simplistic: white people bad, black people good which lacks complexity giving the show less richness and depth. The sisters should stop speaking in tandem in the beginning- adds nothing. The music is gorgeous and worth seeing the show just for that. 20 minutes shorter with edits could help make this more powerful. It is a bit of a caricature to show white people awful (not that they weren't) causing anguish and then cartoonish justification for robbing, etc.. I liked the sister shooting the husband of sister 2 which needed more emotional development as to motive. The 2 assistants were great foils and adorably funny. I hope the show develops and grows-could be the next Hadestown. A little more universality would help."

Fantastic show, though not quite as advertised
"The performance itself was spectacular. The performers were at the top of their game, including the orchestra - who were so perfect it almost sounded prerecorded. The costumes were beautiful, the writing was very good (though one or two moments in Act 1 felt a bit rushed story-wise), and the characters were all memorable and well crafted. My only slight issue lies not with the show itself, but with the marketing campaign. The marketing leans a bit on a "this is a gunslinging western about two badass ladies who take no prisoners" vibe, with photos and videos of cast members wearing long dusters and cowboy hats, relying on 1950s-60s cowboy movie/southwestern bandit imagery. If you go to see this show, you should know it's not *quite* that. The fear and vulnerability of the main characters is the primary focus and motivator for the heroes. So although the show is amazing, maybe gear your expectations toward character-driven drama rather than the old saloons, street duels, and shootouts of usual old west media. I would suggest to the producers that they retool their marketing before this exits previews and officially opens. That said, a solid 9.5/10 and definite future Tony-nominee for Best New Musical. See it if you can! You will not be disappointed. Don't pick seats too far to the sides or in the boxes, though. The proscenium is framed with a sharp wedge shape on the top half and I saw a lot of people leaning around to be able to see what was happening. Center of the balconies/mezzanine have the best sightlines and offer the best views of this show."

A work in progress?
"I thought the voices were amazing! But I felt like everyone was over mic-ed. Hard to understand the lyrics. The best part of the staging was the train ride. The story itself could have been more cohesive. The Greek chorus ancestors were alternately terrific in moving the story along and in being in the way. Bradley Jaden was excellent, but under utilized and perhaps miscast. The bits of comedy were a welcome break from the preachiness of the story. Some songs were lovely, but the music in general was not memorable. I wanted to love it, but alas, did not. "

Intriguing story
"The story was intriguing and the cast superb particularly vocally. First act was quite strong. However the end of the first act was disappointing for anyone sitting in the back rows of the orchestra underneath the overhang- I was in row N. Did not see any of the staging above stage level. Friends in the mezzanine said it was fabulous and dramatic. I could only imagine. The show kind of lost its appeal after that. I would not ignore 30% of the orchestra. "
