"I always kept wondering how Wicked fit into the wizard of oz and the movie didn't help.
Excellent voices on the leading characters, the group numbers are somewhat gray, still I felt the story is the same no matter the year and no matter the political party in charge.

Kids, 18 year old male, and 16 year old female were both surprised to have enjoyed as they did. Nothing negative to say at all. They were not at all impressed I had booked Broadway tickets when they found out we were seeing a show. However after watching Wicked, they would be happy to take in another show, success!

"We saw the show on July 16th, 2025, and it was a highlight of our New York trip. Galinda was absolutely brilliant — funny, with fantastic singing and acting. However, the overall production felt a bit rushed and underwhelming. The set design and theatrics didn’t quite meet expectations, especially considering the $250+ ticket price. Compared to West End productions like Mary Poppins or Aladdin, this felt less polished. Group scenes also felt sparse, and more ensemble presence would have helped. Still enjoyable, but there’s room for improvement."

"There were some really good parts that gave me chills, and there were some cheesy parts that could be tweeked to make better. "The music and lyrics are by Stephen Schwartz (who also did Pippin) and they are beautiful, especially “Because I knew you, I’ve been changed for good”. The choreography and set are wonderful but the orchestra is soooo loud that, often, you cannot hear and understand the actresses when they speak."
