Merrily We Roll Along

The Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth's musical took home five 2024 Broadway.com Audience Choice Awards, including Favorite Musical Revival. The shows trio stars—Jonathan Groff, Daniel Radcliffe and Lindsay Mendez—each topped their respective acting categories, with Groff and Radcliffe also being chosen as the season's Favorite Onstage Pair.

The Great Gatsby

The Great Gatsby, the splashy new musical based on F. Scott Fitzgerald's iconic novel, was earned the Broadway.com Audience Choice Award for Favorite New Musical in 2024. Both of its stars, Jeremy Jordan and Eva Noblezada, were also honored with Favorite Leading Actor/Actress in a Musical trophies.

Stereophonic

This rocking play with music, set in a recording studio and featuring songs by Arcade Fire's Will Butler, was honored with the 2024 Broadway.com Audience Choice Award for Favorite New Play.

An Enemy of the People

Jeremy Strong stars in Amy Herzog's adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's moral battle between a lone truth teller and a society desperate for self-preservation, named Favorite Play Revival at the 2024 Broadway.com Audience Awards.

Hamilton

An Audience Choice Award mainstay, Hamilton took home the trophies for Fave Long-Running Show and Favorite Tour as recently as 2023. In its first eligible year, Lin-Manuel Miranda’s groundbreaking musical was honored with Favorite New Musical as well as awards for original cast members Miranda, Jonathan Groff, Phillipa Soo, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Leslie Odom Jr. and Daveed Diggs, plus a win for “Satisfied” in the Favorite New Song category.


SIX: The Musical

Crowned Favorite New Musical in 2022, SIX: The Musical sees the six ex-wives of Henry VIII taking the mic and rewriting her-story! Written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, the musical’s “All I Wanna Do” also took home a Broadway.com Audience Choice Award for Favorite New Song.

Wicked

Now in its 20th year, long-time favorite Wicked has been bringing home Broadway.com Audience Choice Awards for almost as long as the awards have existed! The show was honored with Favorite New Musical in 2004, alongside original stars Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth. Most recently, Wicked was honored with Favorite Long-Running Show in 2024.


Moulin Rouge! The Musical

Based on Baz Luhrmann’s revolutionary film, Moulin Rouge! The Musical was honored with the Broadway.com Audience Choice Award for Favorite New Musical in 2021. Original cast members Aaron Tveit, Karen Olivo, Danny Burstein, Robyn Hurder and Ricky Rojas also took home awards!

Hadestown

Debuting on Broadway in 2019, Hadestown’s “Wait For Me” was the winner of Favorite New Song at the 2019 Broadway.com Audience Choice Awards. Also honored was original star Eva Noblezada, who’s performance as Eurydice won her the Favorite Leading Actress in a Musical award. Most recently, Jordan Fisher was named Favorite Replacement for his performance as Orpheus in 2024.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

The wizarding world makes its way to Broadway in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the 2018 Broadway.com Audience Choice Award winner for Favorite New Play! Find out how to have the Best Harry Potter Day in NYC



There’s also a ton of Broadway.com Audience Choice Award-winning performers on Broadway as we speak. Mary Jane star Rachel McAdams and Water for Elephants leading man Grant Gustin were honored with the 2024 Favorite Breakthrough Performance awards, with McAdams also taking home Favorite Leading Actress in a Play for her performance. Multi-winner Sutton Foster will lead the Broadway revival of Once Upon a Mattress this summer, while two-time winner Darren Criss will return to Broadway in the new musical Maybe Happy Ending.
