Stage Alums Set for Fall Season of Dancing with the Stars

Stage vets Donny Osmond (Beauty and the Beast on Broadway), Kelly Osbourne (Chicago in the West End) and Aaron Carter (Seussical on Broadway) are among the celebs announced for the fall 2009 season of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. The show has become a breeding ground for Broadway, with co-host Samantha Harris having spent her summer in Chicago and pro dancers Maksim Chemerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff in the opening night cast of Burn the Floor. 

In addition to Osmond, Osbourne and Carter, the full list of stars set for the show includes actress Melissa Joan Hart, model Kathy Ireland, singer Macy Gray, actor Ashley Hamilton, football star Michael Irvin, singer Mya, celebrity chef Mark DaCascos, actress Debi Mazur, snowboarding champ Louis Vito, martial arts expert Chuck Liddell, model Joanna Krupa, former House Majority leader Tom Delay and Olympic swimmer Natalie Coughlin.

The ninth season of Dancing with the Stars begins September 21 on ABC.
