Hollywood’s Celebration Theatre will present the American premiere of Joe DiPietro’s F*cking Men. The limited engagement, directed by Calvin Remsberg, begins performances on September 9, with opening night set for September 11.
Chad Borden, Mike Ciriaco, Brian Dare, Gregory Franklin, Sean Galuszka, Johnny Kostrey, Jeffrey Patrick Olson, David Pevsner, Michael Rachlis and A.J. Tannen will star in the piece, which observes the sex lives of modern urban gay America. Conceived as a riff on Arthur Schnitzler’s 19th century play La Ronde, F*cking Men examines men from all walks of life, including a soldier, a graduate student, a stock broker, a high school teacher and a movie star, following each as he strives to connect with someone in a meaningful way. La Ronde has long inspired playwrights, serving as the basis for shows such as Michael John Chiusa’s Hello Again and David Hare’s The Blue Room.
F*cking Men was a hit in London, where it extended three times to become the city’s longest-running off-West End show. The production is currently running on the West End at the Arts Theatre.
DiPietro’s Broadway credits include All Shook Up and the upcoming Memphis. Off-Broadway works include I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, Over The River and Through the Woods and the currently running The Toxic Avenger.
The limited engagement will close on October 25.
