Iain Glen will make his directorial debut with Henrik Ibsen’s Ghosts in the West End. Frank McGuinness’ new version of the classic play will begin performances at the Duchess Theatre on February 8 and open on February 23, 2010. Glen and Lesley Sharp will star in the production.
Glen, who will play Pastor Manders, appeared in The Blue Room in London and on Broadway. His other stage credits include The Crucible, Hedda Gabler, The Seagull, A Streetcar Named Desire, Martin Guerre and Henry V. His television credits include Kidnapped!, Glasgow Kiss, Wives and Daughters and Trial and Retribution 2. His film work includes Kingdom of Heaven, Tombraider, Silent Scream, Fools of Fortune and Mountains of the Moon.
Sharp, who will play Mrs. Alving, is known for her many British television appearances, including Clocking Off, Bob and Rose and Afterlife. Her film credits include Rita, Sue and Bob Too, Road, The Rachel Papers, Close My Eyes, Naked, Priest, The Full Monty and Vera Drake among others.

Ghosts will play a limited run through May 15, 2010.
