The new production of J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan, which enchanted audiences in London’s Kensington Gardens over the summer, will find a new home for the holiday season. The production is set to transfer to The O2 for a six-week run beginning on December 1, 2009 and concluding on January 10, 2010.
Written by Tanya Roder and directed by Ben Harrison, the production also features 360-degree projected scenic design by William Dudley. The O2 will recreate the pavilion that Peter Pan was performed in over the summer, increasing the capacity to 1,350. The tent will be located in The O2's Meridian Gardens.
Featured in the cast of Peter Pan are Ciaran Kellgren as Peter Pan, Abby Ford as Wendy Darling, Jonathan Hyde as Captain Hook and Mr. Darling, Karen Ascoe as Mrs. Darling, Arthur Wilson as John Darling and David Poynor as Michael Darling.
The production will feature changes made for the upcoming U.S. tour, which is set to begin in May of 2010. A second company will also open the show in New Zealand in early 2011, with a tour to follow.
